Yeah what he said... too many times people say this and it turns out they were using a page rank prediction tool.

Last Thursday, My Firefox Toolbar was much different than my IE toolbar for about 2 hours. Some of my sites PR was up and some went down, but I definitely saw changes for a while. Because of that, I thought the PR update was coming this weekend, but apparently not. Definitely did get an update, but not a PR and not a good update otherwise.

Per Matt Cutts, and I am quoting word for word here “Just to give you a heads-up, I think a new set of backlinks (and possibly PageRank) will probably be visible relatively soon; I’m guessing within the next few days. I still expect some flux after that though, just to let you know.” – October 17, 2005 @ 11:50PM

This has been happening for about a week. Some sites have had 1 extra or 1 less back link showing. Not sure why it's only one.

Not sure if it means anything but my site effected now was effected last year by a 302 redirect from 'godaddy' didn't realise at first at how pointing other domain names via godaddy could hurt, once I figured it out and fixed it my rankings came back almost immediately.

Backlink count from google since then has stated '0' which I didn't realy care as I was ranked good again ;) Just checked with the tool quoted above
at linkadage last night and still came up with '0' so I was not shocked, just checked again though and it's now stating 100 which I would think is a pretty decent bump for not even a 1/2 day.

Do you know if godaddy still uses 302's? I have several sites being redirected with them.

Not sure, I know last year they did and it tanked my results when I pointed a few domains to my main domain via that method, changed it to a 301 server side and all went back to normal.

Adding to my post from above,
manual link:domain.com has now moved up even further to 132 backlinks on google, definitely seeing some movement.

--adding googlebot appears to be awfully active just from quickly looking at stats today, continues to come back and crawl the site. I'd have to check just to be certain but looks higher than a normal average day.
