Tool to find out type of web host - any suggestions?

Hi there. I'm trying to find out if there is an easy way to determine what sort of hosting a particular web site is using. ie. Apache verses Microsoft.

Any suggestions?

 

use netcraft at http://www.netcraft.com/, see the upper left "What's that site running?"

 

The server data section will show you the server signature if it's not been disabled on the server.
