We've just created a new tool/website at http://www.aardvarkmap.net The aim is to offer an easy-to-use facility to create a customised map to your own website. I would be grateful to hear your comments on what you think. Thanks Aaron
Nice website! I tried creating a map, but was taking long, probably because my connection is not very strong, will try later. Nice site though. Bye
Would it be possible to do the same thing with Virtual Earth? http://www.microsoft.com/virtualearth http://www.mp2kmag.com/virtual-earth.asp Here are some sites driven by Virtual Earth -- http://local.live.com http://www.freshlogicstudios.com/Products/Atlas/ Eric
Thanks, guys... re: MS's virtual earth, I can't say I'm really familiar with that product. You can however turn the Google Maps satellite overlay on through Aardvark Map however. JEET... the maps really shouldn't take long to create. With a reasonable internet connection, you could have something working within a few minutes. Aaron
Thanks... we're in the process of making a few improvements to the front just to try and make things more self-explanatory than they are already, but so far the service is looking like it should be popular. Will post again once the revisions are made, so you can comment on the changes if you don't mind... Thanks Aaron
Right, we have a new design now... http://www.aardvarkmap.net ...and we've included some example maps, too. What do you think? Thanks Aaron
Hehe, thanks Eric... site is going well as it happens. More than 630 maps have now been created using the service. Aaron
Hell I only go there about 6 times a day, how am I supposed to see your sig when I am busy deleting the spammers
FANTASTIC. we now have over 800 pages listed in google and are getting quaite a lot of traffic from search as well. STILL getting lots of crap submitted, but we are determined to keep it ad free, and cost free for the immediate future. One day I will get the hang of this making money online
That's great news. If our directories are anything to go by, you'll be finding yourself going paid-only in order to help cut down on the crap... we seem to be at that point now. It's not much fun having a backlog of 21,930 submissions on AB, 1,703 on AS and 10,725 on AT...!
