Tool Suggestion

I hope I don't have to pay someone to develop this tool...there's got to be one out there somewhere that does most of this...

    1. Check the google results for a particular keyword and records the position of your site..

    2. Collects the URL and position of each site that appears in the top X number of results and posts them to a database.

    3. Checks Yahoo or MSN for the backlink data of all sites in the serps for that keyword

    4. Checks the Cache date of each page listed in the results.

    5. Returns the Whois "Created Date" for the base domain of each site listed in the results

    6. Pulls the title tag for each site listed.

    7. (probably not available) stores the cache of each page listed in the results locally so you can see what changed with the each page as they move around in the results.

    Any suggestions?

    These ones should help you:

    AWR - Advanced Web Ranking
    IBP - Intenet business Promoter
    Arelis

But I don't know just one that does it all.

Here's an excellent free rank tracking tool you can use. I use it on a regular basis successfully.

You can do most of that and lots more with this competition research tool. Try it, it's free.

For this item, WayBack Machine might help.

    Hope this is useful,

Man, these tools are real pricey. These are priced at $100-$500. Why pay when you got free alternatives?

I can't seem to get the API key to work right. I tried to get one from google, but they were all specific to maps or other things, not a general API Key.

I haven't heard such a tool exists as a standalone, but you can find each one as online free service.
