Took adsense off

I have a site that sells niche info products.
I took adsense off the site a long time ago, so as not to compete with my sales.
Well, I just checked adsense, and as that site is channelled, I figured that I best put adsense back on!
Maybe all those visits will make me a few pennies more.

well, more than 90% of your visitors won't buy anything from you. but they could give you a few cents by clicking an ad, so re-introducing the ads is a good idea i think, even if you are selling something.

If you are selling items on your website its best not to have ads on it as it may drive away some of your customers.

I don't agree that all commerce sites will not benefit from AdSense. I have a credit card comparison site that I have tested with and without AdSense. While it is true that there is some loss in sales revenue... I earn a couple dollars per click from AdSense and when I use it, the AdSense more than offsets any loss in sales.

Bottom line, it maximizes my income. But I suggest you test it and see how it works for you.

If you have a commerce site, its best to test adsense before saying its good or bad. Something like 97% of your visitors won't buy anything from, so it makes sense to try and monetize them somehow.

Be better than your competitors. Then your customers finding out about your competitors via adsense will not be a bad thing for you.

    Ask yourself a few questions.

How much did you make from AS before?
Is it more than the money you make from selling your products?
Are you going to get more from AS than a few lost sales?

The best way to answer the last one is test it of cource.

Customers usually know very well what they want and what they want to pay etc.
So, going with adsense can't be wrong, just more choices for visitors and if you don't have that what your visitors are looking for, then the ads make a good alternative.

If you don't have enough time to deal with sales you can make make money easily by running adsense ads.

But, adsense ads will give visitors some good alternative especially in well optimized websites. It certainly is an enhancement one or the other way.
