Just think it's good thing. If you can improve your website text and get more traffic, your traffic will be doubled.
Google images is sometimes helpful - My average page visit per user from Google images in 2.11 pages per visit..
i don't see it usefull for 3 reasons 1- people just look at pics and go away 2- people look or download pics and go away 3- if use the script for break google image frame, it will cause thousand of refresh killing my adsense revenue I really don't get why someone think google image traffic is good, maybe is good if you sell images but otherwise is a waste of time. What makes me really sad about this traffic is that my website got lots of content and almost every entry is about 2k words so i'm not having like 10 words and 300 pictures in that case i would be really happy about that traffic question : Why image url to sitemap?
block your image directory in robot.txt to crawl then you will not have your site's image in search of google..
Complaining about traffic coming from search engines is a completely bizarre concept if only to say the least. You are getting the traffic because they are searching for something within the images sector of Google rather than the web sector, no biggy as this sort of traffic tends not to convert anyway so don't worry about that. You should just concentrate on creating content that people want to read, meaning no spinning of articles or anything like that. My sites are minimal when it comes to images but i still get traffic into the site through them but the difference is that i see that mine stay and read a number of pages before leaving the site.
So far the best option, if people merely comes to your site for the sake of stealing your images ... Watermarking will give you free publicity + less number of people would be interested in stealing your images... (assuming they are watermarked) It won't hurt you in any way to put a small watermark with your website url, somewhere on your each and every image ... and don't disable Google bot under any chance, because traffic is traffic and you don't know what moment in your life it will start converting into sales ...
I too have this "problem" (I know... I know... free traffic is never bad). But it does sort of skew my actual unique visitor numbers that might be there to buy something (it's on a amazon aff site). I still do however get the occasional click from people who have landed on the site through the image so I'm definitely not complaining. I would really like to know how to better monetize this traffic. Can someone explain the use of CPA in a little more detail, I've never ventured down that road before...
In my opinion google image traffic is totally useless, all the people that are looking for an image , are just looking for that image, so they won't land on website. All guys that claim traffic is never bad is not properly true. because what matter is the traffic quality e image traffic is poor quality. Seems like google doing anything to kill webmasters, for example the page cache, that is very useless and the only use for it , is to kill webmasters. Same i can say for google image
@ilary i'm sort of in the same boat in that I worry about what it's doing to my other stats, it's obviously going to shorten my visit length time etc... which I know Goog is looking at these days to some point at least.
very good.traffics from google image also your Real flow.people are all like your pic,so don't worry about that.
