I used to be active on about 9 forums, it was a massive drain on my time and have since cut back to about 3. Stick to the forums that you get the best results from (traffic, backlinks). Use your time effectively!

My thought also is same above suggestions. But, every posting is unique and related to the threads.

I have found some of my forum posts listed in Google for some of my keywords before.
They usually don't stay around long and point to the forum. Doesn't do DP and other off topic forums much good to rank for gaming subjects but you get to see your name in lights for a bit.

It does not matter that how many forums you have participated and how many posts you have done.It only that when your postings are spamming and it thinks that you are a spammer.

    Dear,

All the work depends that how much quality of links are linked with your domain; Instead of having 1000 links with 1 page rank; its better to link with 10 links have page rank 4 or 5.

Forums post count doesnt matter as far as your are not spamming the forums and also participating in relevant and related forums. If you have a music related website then you should concentrate more towards music and song related forums for better results.

Relevancy is the key factor and you should also be careful of not spamming forums with unnecessary advertising your site.

The more you post religiously to related sites, the quickest you could attain traffic. However, it's the quality that counts rather than quantity. ;)

It doesn't matter how many forums you have joined just as long as you're not spamming and your signature is appropriate to the threads/related to the forum.
