Too much comments in source code

    Hi All,

    I have a website which is stuffed with too much comments in the source code. The top portion of the source code contain full of comments. The content of the website starts only in the 1094th line. The upper and lower portion of source code of this part is again stuffed with comments.

    Will this affect SEO?

    Yes it is not good. So remove the comments from the pages except only main designer comments for left navigation, rigtnavigation, header and footer. These comments will help designer to modify the pages easily in the future. Except these comments remove other comments.

    yes Comments can help to improve your SERP but as you mention "you stuffed too much comment in the source code" that will not beneficial just but stuff in limit. but as rai123 is saying comments for left navigation, rigtnavigation, header and footer you must do that also

    yes its harmful from the seo point of view as well as it may take more time to load website, so remove it as soon as possible and consider above reply also...
