Too Many Web Directories, Very Little Time

Discussion in 'Directories' started by wazimm, Aug 5, 2009.

    Hello,

I have a problem. I think I have too many website directories and now I barely have enough time to maintain them. Most of my directories are over 3 years old and I feel like I've lost focus. What to do?

Delete the files from your FTP client,
and remove the database at phpMyAdmin,
    you have done.

Pay someone to approve the links or sell some.

If these directories are not making you any money (or not enough versus the time you have invested), it's time to move on and sell them.

You have two basic choices - keep them or don't keep them.

Many of them are poor quality ones. Exclude those from your list.

See which directories are worth keeping and get rid of those which aren't by selling them, as suggested.

    You have multiple choices:

    1. Sell some of them.
    2. Hire editors

Pretty arrogant to assume all web directories are spam.

To the OP, I'd probably sell off some directories and just focus on a few.

One thing i learned about setting websites up is that 4, 5, 10, 20 of the same thing is not better, you wont multiply your income by this.

Back in 2007 i setup 4 general web directories, why? i know, i ask myself that now, but have learned a lot since then.

One would be enough, same should apply if you setup blogs, dont think that you can deal with posting on 20 blogs, dont think it will bring in lots more revenue.

Instead of great success, you end up with a bloody mess.

Now someone tell this to the guy who wont stop setting up .info directories all starting with the same 4 letters. :)
