Also good suggestions... Except I was there 2 weeks ago. Hmmm... can you buy yourself an invite to the Playboy mansion?
Step 1. Go out and buy a container in which to put the 50 state quarters. Place one of each of the ones minted in it to remember your great quarter caper. Step 2. Thats up to you. My way of saying I am idealess. Shannon
yep! You can buy your way into any one of the charity events they have! I don't think the info for events is online, but it's definitely a possibility. I have a few friends that have been there for free and the next time someone goes and tells me about it afterwards I'm going to shoot. It's not so bad when a hot girl gets invited to a party, but when a guy gets to go there for no reason other than he happened to be in the right place at the right time...
They haven't finished making the 50 state quarters yet have they? But even if they had, I'm not so sure I want to try and find one of each in that pile. hehe
You know, talking bout Vegas, I personally would just take the 10 members with the most posts and we all use the slot-machine til the quarters are gone, and whatever we win will go to charity
I say put it in a bag, walk around until you see a busker singing and pour the entire contents of the bag out infront of him. OR OR OR come to Holland and we'll go get drunk, and put quaters in stripper's G Strings. but if im in the top 10 members with most posts then I like Mike's idea.
Find an sculpturer online and get them melted down into the shape of your logo as an orniment for your new house
Well, one of the reasons wel left San Diego was there are way too many homeless people. Maybe you can donate the money to a good program. or..................... If all else fails cash it in for dollar bills and go to the strip clubs.
Ok, I would like to suggest the Cat Network. When the word "charity" comes up, most everyone thinks of the homeless or the poor. Animals need our help too and this organization actively goes out and rescues cats that have been abandoned and forgotten. Most impressively, they have a senior program whereby they cover the cost of all veterinary services for the cats they place with seniors so the senior does not have to worry about vet bills cutting into their already meager income. Right now, they have about 160 cats in this program and they can really use the funds. One of my cats is a Cat Network rescued cat and I only wish more folks out there would consider adopting older animals. They have just as much love and affection to give and they would like to have a home too. I'll cover the cost of mailing the quarters if you don't want to convert them to cash.
Hmmmm... maybe I can combine that suggestion with the other where I make a stop in Germany and France.
If you have some way of getting ahold of a bunch of poor kids, you could throw a party for them, and then one of the activities would be go out into the forest and find money. Before hand, you would rake up the leaves in a small area of the forest and then scatter the quarters around and cover them with the leaves. That would be pretty fun, but then I guess you would be teaching them to be greedy heh.
Ok Shawn, Since you like the Germany idea I did a bit more research for you. You'll be leaving 8/10 & returning on 8/16. Cheapest Price: $1192 (2 stops) Shortest Flight: $1311 (1 stop-Atlanta) Both are Economy/Coach options... sadly your quarters will not get you there First Class (~$8000) Sample Flight for you: ================ Going There: San Diego, CA (SAN) to Stuttgart, Germany (STR) connects in Chicago, IL and London, UK (hang out with UK DP'ers) American Airlines = 2 Stops Flight 1426 / 66 / 6637 22h 57m Departs: 9:58a Arrives: 5:55p Going Home: Stuttgart, Germany (STR) to San Diego, CA (SAN) connects in London, United Kingdom and Los Angeles, CA American Airlines = 2 Stops Flight 6638 / 135 / 3095 17h 35m Departs: 11:25a Arrives: 8:00p
You should go to a store where you need to buy something high end that costs like $1,500 and whip out your quarters and start counting them at the counter to pay for it.
Very cool... from the look of the website they must have a pretty impressive showroom over there. I worked at an electronics store a long time ago and had a guy buy a $300 video card that way... I hated that guy.
