My main web site index page has alot of links on it. For instance, those many text links underneath that daily image are going to OTHER pages within the same URL. But would it benefit me to actually place all of them on a new separate page with a simple text link to them and place it below that same daily image? Or would it really even matter, one way or the other?
This page will probably look pretty spammy to Google with that many text links on the homepage, not to mention all the text is bold. Google says not more than 100 links per page and you're not over that but ... Personally, I can't take this page seriously just looking at it, but that's just my opinion ...
Well, I appreciate your opinion just the same. So in essence, you mean "BOLD" text on an index page is a no-no?
My technical mind sees possibly grouping those links into categories and linking to the category page to cut down on the sheer volume of links and shorten the page a bit. My creative mind sees the category pages having mini-icons for each one of those links from an aesthetic perspective. That will give the site an overall cleaner feel to it.
I appreciate your open mindedness (no pun inended), openmindz. Actually you've got an "innovative" mind . . . I can see that. In essense, you'll note I have the links going to each specific catalog, almost alphabetized but you mean they should be put in say, a separate cell or table....grouped by subject? And have an incon (maybe 150X150) for each table next to the text links? Your input was appreciated....great thinking.
Bold words here and there for emphasis is a good thig. You're bold tag opens before all the text and links and closes after everything. When everything is emphasized, nothing is ...
