Too many keywords in URL, bad for SEO?

Is having too many keywords in URL bad for SEO purposes? For example if i had a URL like this:

    1) http://www.mysite.com/life-insurance/young-adults-life-insurance

    Or will this be better:

    2) http://www.mysite.com/life-insurance/young-adults

What i've noticed is that 1) seems to be getting better results than 2). But will this be considered keyword stuffing? And also 2) seems more appropriate because it is more logical as it shows that we are dealing with young adults life insurance as it is contained within the life insurance category. What is best for SEO in your experience anyway?

    thanks,

I find I get better results with 2, URL's are kind of like title tags, if they become too long they also become ineffective. Also you'll find that type in traffic will increase with 2 instead of using 1, not to mention brandability.

No it's not bad, it's actually good.
