Even if you don't, you may or may not know that all great athletes and teams have a coach. If it is an individual they usually have a single coach, if a team they have a coach and an assistant coach. So what has this got to do with building a business? How many marketing experts are their online? How many books do you have by a whole stack of different authors? On top of that how many articles by different writers can you ad to this list?
Interesting Post, seems your a little ruffled at the feathers. But you are correct in what you are saying and unless you can balance your information intake and have the ability to analyse that information your head will burst like a bubble. In todays market it seems everybody is an expert, this is quite often not the case but more used now as a marketing term. For example if i wanted the best directory script i could ask 12 people, they would all tell me they are an expert, they would all tell me a different story, and all would be correct. So how and what can we gather from this is even getting more confusing. Today as never before there is information overload, we may have asked a question 10 years ago and only spoke with maybe one or two people. To find additional resources was an effort in itself. Today we just hit a search engine and bingo 100 experts, now we need to read all of them, digest them all and in that we come more confused as we now have 20 options rather 2 and those 20 options are all correct. So unless you can get your head around all of this your day comes bogged down with even more delayed decissions, what to do, what is the best way, you will often chop and change looking for the best way, change back because you did not like it, hey heres an even better way. wow no wonder we are stressed. Now DownUnder we just mellow out, in that we know there are 100 experts on every topic, and tomorrow theres a better way and the world goes round. So in that to overcome this rat race this is what needs to happen ( for real for me you make your own call ) 1. throw your watch in the bin - the world runs at my speed not me at it's speed. 2. sit in a quiet spot often and plan yor business with no outside interference, you make the expert decissions. 3. look at everything going on around you in allocated time and make notes ( from all the experts ) 4. back in your quiet time ( away from pc, email, text etc ) evaluate the information, some you may just keep notes on and you may put it some sort of priority order. 5. when making changes to YOUR business plan only make 1 change at a time and this may only be in a small or par step to test the water, then let it settle and evaluate the change to see if it improved your business model or not. 6. never impliment 10 changes at once running at full pace with the information world or you will never know what or why which parts worked or did not work. 7. always seek advice from a close group you trust on any ideas but then use Your judgement on its implimentation. 8. take another break and chill out 9. understand the information age is over ( we already have plenty of it and everybody knows everything and are experts, and that we now are in the attention age, where because of the overload of information you have a very limited time to capture the persons attention before they move to the next task in their busy day. By understanding that 99% of people operate in information overload and by you stepping out of that game will allow you to better manage your business and make it grow. 10. Take another break and chill out, ( I'm just throwin a steak on the BBQ for you now, grab a coldy and put your feet up )
I like the sound of this guy. I think I'll roll a joint instead of optimising my news feed... AFK, chillaxin'.
