Too many impressions today

Hello, just logged in to check my adsense earnings today and the number of impressions is worryingly high. It is showing almost five times the impressions I usually get. Should I be worried?

 

It might be worth installing Google Analytics or Statcounter on your website to track where your site visitors are coming from, that way you will be able to see what is causing the fluctuation in impressions.

I wouldn't be worried if I was you - Be happy, unless you start getting mass clicks oO

 

Just check server data or analytics data.

 

I've had about 2.5 times the normal amount on one of my sites as I normally do.. will check analytics data tomorrow to see what it is.. hope it continues!

 

Why would you worry if your traffic increased?

 

You no need to worry about the traffic if you are not buyinh traffic from PTC, traffic exchange ot proxy site

Don't worry about that. I thing your position increased in SERP. That's very if you have done some backlink job past weeks

 

I dont get it. If you have high impression rate, doesn't that mean more people viewed your site and therefore your ads were viewed more and as such google stands a higher chance to profit because there is a high possibility of someone clicking the ads they feed your site? Shouldn't this be a positive thing? Does google penalize for this? I am confused.
