too many impressions = low CTR = low $$ ??

Hi everyone.. I'm new here.. just wondering if the more impressions you have, the lower the CTR, and then in turn lower eCPM, and low $$$?

I have about 30,000 views per day. At first I put adsense on every page...only got $/day.. then since i wasn't getting any clicks from my forums, i removed that.. and had it only on content pages.. went up a little to $$/day.. then this month my content traffic increased.. and rev dropped again to $/day.. removed the leaderboard yesterday and now it's higher than it has for the whole month. and my CTR has trippled for today..

so what do you think is up?

 

You need to test what best for your site e.g. position colour etc..

The google info is v.general as the design can push users anywhere you want to ..

Big arrows pointing at stuff well draw the eye to whatever you want..

i have a site that used to have adsense on every page, got loads of impressions and quite a few click but ctr/earnings was low, so i removed adsense from some of the more unused/less important pages, page impressions went down, clicks stayed the same and of course ctr just about doubled.

 

More impressiosn doesnt mean less revenue... it actually means more chance for revenue..
