Hi, I run a couple of trashy affiliate sites. Nearly all of my traffic is poorly targeted image search results. I get hardly any text search engine referrals. Have I just been marked by Google as an aff, and dumped in the image search bin? Could there be other things I could be doing to get more text search results? Link building isn't working. One site has 1200 inlinks, 440 pages, and no income! What's a normal ratio for image to text search results? Tressie
If you think google is dropping you because they think your an aff site try using javascript for your links or at best use nofollow
be happy about ur image results, not just focus on ur keyword density, the keywords u want to target and the freshness and original content
Hi Wallarookiller, Yep, 100% rel="nofollow". I could never see the point of passing PR to andrdoezers etc. Still, the possibility that I'm under an affiliate ban is the likeliest cause of my traffic pattern. It might be a bit too late to try javascript links. I know Google won't follow or index them, but Yahoo sure will. Guess I just start again with smaller sites and maybe try a few things like javascript links. One thing's for sure is that this site is well and truly stuffed. The thing that scares me is that my new pages that I'm experimenting with just at the moment, look like they're going to have the same high image search problems. Oh, no!
