Too Many Domain Names

Is it just me or there seems to be way to many domain options for clients to choose from? I personally think it can be confusing, but then again it's business right?

The vast majority of people want 1 site to represent each business they own (and most people only own 1 business) or each 'passion'. They will choose either their national extension or a .com

From what I've seen it's only the geeks, spammers and the traders who worry about which is the best extension.

I have never thought about this as confusing. Like with anything else, the more choices you have the better.

A lot of people tend to get stuck picking a domain name for their site because they want it to be "perfect". They want the domain name to contain their main keyword while still describing what their site is.

I always go for descriptive and unique/interesting domains. You don't really need to have your main keyword there (but if you can, great!). What's more important is that your domain name is catchy and easy for users to remember.

Hope that helps. Have a good day!
