Too many campaigns in Google Adwords

    Hello,

I run the PPC campaign for an adventure tour operator. We create a new PPC campaign for each destination that we launch, and Adwords will no longer allow me to add another campaign (it says 'too many campaigns in this account'). What's the best thing to do about this? If I add another account, I will not be able to compare and contrast figures easily for each destination. I deleted one campaign that we no longer use, because I thought that it would free up some space, but that doesn't seem to work in Adwords. Can I divide the campaigns into sections across different accounts (ie. Africa, Asia, Latin America)? If so, is there an easy way to move a campaign from one account to another?

Sorry for all the questions and thanks in advance for the help. :)

    Hi Bryony,

    Couple of things:

    1) It is against the Google terms of service for an individual to have more than one account, so you can't directly do that and be within the law. See:

    https://adwords.google.co.uk/support/aw/bin/static.py?page=guidelines.cs&answer=47164&adtype=all

which explains that you can't have ads across multiple accounts for the same business. So your solution of different continents for different accounts would still violate their terms of service.

Perhaps you could organise your campaigns by language, rather than region.

    2) If you do find a way to have more than one account, though, you can easily tranfer campaign settings across, using Google's own Adwords Editor. Find it, and all the details, here:

You need to rethink your campaign organization. Instead of a campaign for each destination, you should create an ad group for each destination. Your idea to have a campaign for each continent is a good one.

There is a limit of 25 campaigns in Adwords. I believe that is 25 active campaigns so you can pause or delete other campaigns. You can also ask to increase this but I think your problem is more one of organization. It would be at Google's discretion. Never had to ask for more myself.

As Alex says, do not open other accounts or Google will treat you as a very bad person and there will be no soup for you.

Have a campaign for each continent, and split out the destinations in adgroups within that campaign. Sorted.

There is a limit of 25 campaigns per account. But you can contact Google support and ask them to increase this limit.
