Too many backlinks?

    Can too many backlinks from a particular site hurt my PageRank? For example, I have 6000 backlinks from a particular PR3 site (which is very relevant to my site). Could this be potentially bad?

    I don't think they will ban you but the links will be devalued....buts that's ok because you are going to receive a lot of traffic from these links

    The key is to have the serps index your links naturally. Blasting too many at once, or too many to your main url won't have as great of an effect, unless you spread everything out through the site links and take your time doing it.

    Sitewide links are considered better if you can have it permanent basis.

    If you buy them, then its better to have a single link. The reason is when it expires you dont loose too many links.

    all good replies...just make your link building as natural as possible. obviously 6000 links from one site is not exactly natural. :)

    10000 back links is important for better ranking and getting more traffic.
