Is it too late to get backlinks as google is going to update its PR in next few days?? I am doing SEO for my site and I am bit worried. Whether G will count new backlinks?
No, it's too late. But if you start building links now you will be more prepared for the next PR update (not the one expected at the end of this month).
??? It's never too late to get backlinks. Even if Google doesn't see them before the next update, they'll be found eventually. SEO isn't a video game. There is no clock or timer you have to beat. Build your links and quit worrying about when the next update is. I just don't understand why you'd be working up a sweat about backlinks for this particular update...
The PR calculation is a huge job that probably takes a few days to run, so if they have started already then it's too late. New backlinks sometimes seem to effect your ranking between updates as well, so you may still see some benefit.
It is never late. If you are worried about getting the results in next PR export for toolbars, you might be late. It will take atleasta week for google to find the backlinks and probably more. Please understand that the PR export doesnt have anything to do with the latest PR google uses internally. The PR is exported to toolbars once in 3 months or so, but google updates its internal counter very frequently. So unless youare concerned about selling the site or the text links, you should not be botherd about the PR export. It is just an export to be displayed on toolbars, not PR update.
