Too late to buy a high pr link?

    Is it too late to purchase a link on a PR site and get it indexed before the update so that it helps my PR?

    You can get index, but I don't think it will count as a quality backlink so fast.

    A backlink can be counted very quickly, as little as one day. If Google has yet to take a snapshot of your site to determine PageRank, then that link could help your site when the next update rolls out in a few weeks.

    Imo google takes a snapshot and we can see them as toolbar pr with update with a delay (from my experince 15-30 days) , I think you won't be able to catch this update but who knows :)

    Well from my personal experience I got about 4-5 PR4-5 good backlinks about less than a month before the update for my blog but still received a PR0.

    From my experience Google has taken the snapshot for this PR export. Only the links which are on Google Webmaster Tools right now will be counted in this PR calculation. But if you buy a long-term link it will be very useful for the next update.

    Google discounts and penalizes purchasing links to inflate PR and serp(s).

    So if you are going to purchase links for reasons besides traffic, I wouldn't post about it on DP with your sites right in your signature.

    it's an unknown quiestion.

    it depents on the pr snapshot date. if pr snapshot date has passed, the link that you buy will effect on next update
