I think most of the people fail to get visitors from search engines because they use too competitive keyword phrases (especially in a title tag). The key is to get some amount of traffic and make the website trusted. Google notices that people come to your site via its search results. Soon or later, pages start to climb higher in Google -> snowball effect. Am I right? Yes.
Yes I agree with what you are saying. Too often you see a website just target a bunch of separate one word keywords. They don't realize that it is quite difficult to get rankings for competitive phrases, especially one word phrases. Ideally you are tageting several different keywords for each page. Those keywords should have varying levels of competitiveness. That way you can get some traffic and rankings quick. Once you achieve some rankings, you can move onto to target different keywords.
It is better to go for specific Long tail keywords rather than high competitive short tail keywords. Target a maximum of 5 different keywords per page of the website.
Yea, its best to use longtail keywords for 1st 6 months, low competitive keywords but with niche are welcome. After 6 months when you have gathered tons of backlinks and traffic you may use top keywords.
Long tails are definitely easier to conquer when a site is young ad you will need to build fewer links. You also need to start building good links for competitive terms early on, simply because you are going to need more of them to rank well in a few months or a year's tiem.
Are you referring to Google adwords keyword tool or search based keyword tool ? If you are referring to adwords tool you can find that by searching Google adwords keyword tool or Google keyword tool in Google search engine.
Try internet business promoter. It can find good keywords for you and uses KEI to score them and their relative value. Once you have short listed search the terms using broad and exact searches. See who your up against and measure their relative success and competitiveness with the words you are considering. If the volum,e is good and the quality on the page poor you've found keywords to target!! Good luck. Andy
To a larger extent you are right. Firstly, try minimizing using popular KWs.Secondly, do not populate your articles with too many KWs and so on.
Choosing long tail kws is much better. Specific keywords have higher conversion to your website than the other generic, competitive keywords.
Hello Everybody, I also agree with nakkileuka. But it is only true in case, if i am working on my own site because i am webmaster and i know what is good and how to get traffic and ranking. But if we are working for clients projects then. Some clients send us list of keyword and they want top ranking on that keyword and ready to spend their money, in such situation we have to compromise with these guidelines. Thanks and Regards, Webmaster
