Isn't it surprising? After all, why do people convert to different faiths? It is most certainly not for some material benefit. I don't think they do it under threat (which is something you can expect when particular religions are involved.) Here is the news -- Blair's sister-in-law converts to Islam Tony Blair is a Catholic convert from Church of England It just eludes my comprehension, how can you decide to desert something you believed for so many years of your life in a flick second unless you found a cracker of a reason which others badly miss?
Thats not something news, in past years (Special last 10 years) lot of famous people around the world convert to Islam. I think people around the world starts reading about "Real Islam" not what which was spread through anti-religion sites and media. They people actually read what was written in Islam not what Muslims are doing
I'll take this cue to continue. If the real islam is so good as to convince the high and the mighty to convert to it in a giffy, then why are those muslims who are already in there doing it differently (not what Muslims are doing) when all they claim is they are doing exactly the same as is written in quran. added later Again, you have only partly addressed my question. It's not just about whether Islam is real or not but also how they can walk through an emotional barrier which they believed in for several decades. So, basically, my question is only partly connected to religion. So, there is something more to this than just it.
your ans is here by Lauren Booth, i think a newly converter can explain much better than me. Because she read the Quran.. not like those who use Quranic ayaat (Incomplete or wrongly) to spread wrong picture of Quran and Islam after 4:00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZTjRRIKxtY&feature=player_embedded
Nazi'ism was super-popular in Germany for awhile. This is a similar fad. There will always be unhappy people, desperate for someone to tell them what to do.
I think it's more of something like : .....look at me I'm famous .....wanna see something cool ?....*shazam* look now I'm a Muslim .... do you love me now ?
more and more people come to islam whenever they read it, and it is really true relegion whoever study it with serious intentions and pure heart he cannot escape but accept islam. Islam has changed my life too. )
Friend, thats a big lie and propaganda against Islam and people who know islam know this very well. Islam provides real comfort , peace and harmony in soul. You cannot enjoy unless you taste )
It always makes me laugh when middle aged, upper class women convert to islam. It's like the next step up from feng shui and aromatherapy for these people. Anyone asked her what she thinks of killing gays, adulterous women and sex with children or is she in it mostly for the hippy clothes and sense of trendy self-righteousness?
Nice info. This is the beauty of Islam! She is an English broadcaster, journalist and human rights activist. So, we hope she knows Islam better than you! You people seems only think these activities are copyrighted to Muslim people? Rather bashing Islam why you guys don't devote sometime to understand the truth than blindly following someone who know nothing about Islam. If not it is wise to keep quite. @Obamanation so finally you are taking help the word : "Muslim" to attract people to your group, why? nobody is joining? oh.. I can see a muslim's photo too... lol ( shame shame)
Why would you want to escape a religion that you like ? Or are you saying that Islam has to gigantic flaws ATM and that is the cause why so many of it's followers are total nut-jobs ? Like all religious propagandists you're just to easy to read .
Not at all... What is copyrighted to islam is the acceptance of them and, in some cases, the obligation to commit them. Imagine god wanting us to kill people for being gay or not loving their husband any more, it would be laughable if it wasn't so disgusting. I wonder what her views, as a "muslim", are on killing people for being gay. Someone should ask her. As for her knowing more about islam than me. I doubt it. All that qualifies her is a funny feeling she had while in a foreign country and the first 60 pages of the quran. I mean seriously, even i have read the whole putrid little book, which is probably why i see it as an oppressive little desert cult and she sees it as a trendy little fad.
