Tons of traffic - none from the web

Hi all,

I found a site which is getting half a million visitors a month...yet there is no talk at all about this site on the WWW and it has absolutely no SEO performed on it, no links, etc. Maybe i'm blind...but does anyone see anything that I may be missing for this site: coupongreat.com. How do you think this site is getting so much traffic?

What, you don't think that webmasters advertise OUTSIDE the Net to get traffic? It doesn't have to be talked about on the Net.

 

Looks like the type of site that would get advertised in the back of my local rag. "Looking to save money on stuff? Go here!" type of classified ad.

 

I advertise a lot in my local area, but I can't see me getting 500,000 hits this way, interesting!

 

I cant imagine getting that much traffic by not using a online source or tv atleast. Not that many people still read the newspaper.

 

Explain why you think it is getting 500k a month visitors. Have you hacked their webstats?

 

Maybe they advertise/promote it on lot of stores..
Using flyer or something like that.
