Hey all... I just got into a website and saw that he has ALOT of backlinks. When I got into those website that link to his one - I realize he did something smart. He allow people to use "alexa bar" "how many are online bar" and few others. When people are "copy-paste" his code he gets a backlink. Is it something that I should consider doing ? Seems like a win-win situation. I just build by seo-service website and I consider using it. What do youthink ?
The point is that the code contains a JS file that is hosted on the company's domain. This is why it consider as a backlink...
Hi , You'll see lots of great examples of this kind of backlinking around the web. See www.webconfs.com for example. They allow you to "use the code on your site" and provide easy methods of doing so. Having scripts to provide News and Weather seems another great way of doing this. Another example: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/lookup.htm#sitecontent RSS is probably another method you should look at... If you have some useful information you could provide a feed that users could use on their site.. Maybe tips of the day etc... Just my 2 cents
Yes, SEOChat tools also has links embedded to provide them with the backlinks This is 100% ethical and works perfectly if we can develop a useful tool
