It's actually not that odd. I've heard of people eating placentas before (then again my parents were total hippies). Luckily my mom decided to bury mine and plant a tree on top of it, instead of eat it...haha. Tom Cruise is such a media whore. He'll do anything to get his name out there.
Yes McDonalds could cook up a good placenta. Imagine it between 2 croissants that have been dipped in syrup with an egg and cheese. I ain't eatin' no placenta dipped in a special sauce though
I have heard some sick bastards even eat foetus, i saw that on discovery. I dont know why people do things like these. STRANGE
I discussed this with my wife last night, who is a registered Nurse on a maternity ward. She was not shocked at this at all.. she said a surprising number of people ask for the placenta. Supposedly many families bury it and plant a tree above, but she said in other cultures it is quite normal to eat it... and our community is very multi-cultural. The placenta is rich in iron and since the woman loses a lot of blood, it is ritualistic (and nutritious) for them to eat it after the birth. oh yea... eeeeww. I told her I would not be dining on her afterbirth.
Sure. Typical. Ruin the taste of a perfectly good unwashed 3rd worlder with ketchup. Ya'll have no sense of flavor
Good pic Gadood. It perfectly illustrates why it would be a really sick and unsavoury thing to do to put syrup on this. It clearly cries out for ketchup ... and perhaps a spot of mustard.
