Told to post here, about my newbie mistake!

Hi, one of the mods told me to start a thread because I need some links removing from one of my old posts. The links are pointing at some personal space which I didn't want to remain online forever, and also some of the information in my post I also didn't want staying online forever. Being a complete newbie I didn't realise that threads are locked after 8 hours. There is no warning on the "new thread" page and this is the first webmaster forum I've found this on. But hands up, I've learnt my lesson and will always ask for people to PM me instead from now on. What should I do now? Can anyone remove them for me?

Yea, Only the mods can remove the links

I agree, but I guess that would depend how many links you have in posts etc.

Its not really the Mods job to clean up you posts

Becareful what you post, another words its kinda like , think before you speak

Just think before you post, But If its just one link they might do you a favor...:)

Yeah, that's the problem it was the first time I realised that you couldn't do it. There was no warning anywhere about it on the page where you start a thread. I won't ever do it again, but if a mod could clean it up for my lame newbie ass that'd be great :)

Yeah, I'm an A class lurker. I'm normally the buyer you see JackSmith, therefore I'd never noticed you couldn't edit a post! Anyway, I've clicked the Red Arrow thingy bob and hopefully it'll get sorted :)
