"Today's estimated earnings"

I logged into my Adsense and noticed the label that use to say Today's Earnings now says Today's Estimated Earnings

Is Adsense becoming like Chitika - reporting than adjust earnings at the end of month?

Or is it just me who just never noticed that this label was always there and I just never noticed it before?

 

There are new features that Google team are testing.

 

"While we can't say how much these amounts would differ for any one publisher, most publishers will not see a significant difference. Again, please keep in mind that this is only a display change, and that your finalized earnings will continue to be calculated and credited to you in the same way as before.

Earnings have never been real time. They have always been estimated.

Today's Estimated Earnings

 

I have a feeling this is going to discourage quite a few webmasters. Let me give you an example.

You login.

"Today's Estimated Earnings - $31.41
12 hours pass.
"Today's Finalized Earnings" - $1.21 or 0.21

 

A rather pointless gadget really by Google, why would it benefit us? we cant rely on estimates for the day!

 

No! it did not used to be like this...

Are your estimated earnings similar to your normal earnings on a daily basis? Mine seem to reflect lower earnings as compared to before this estmated earnings thingy.

 

Now they have included new feature. Well, i think they will pay lesser than what they will show.

"most publishers will not see a significant difference." meaning some will- and asserting that most won't.Showing why the interface language was changed.The inclusion of the word "most" and "significant" changes the terms.So ....,use logic to parse the sentence. If "most will not see a significant difference "the reverse is " some publishers will see a significant difference"...This is disclaimer statment.....When is a change not a change?

 

This is only a display change, nothing to worry about, it's always estimated from the beginning but it wasn't displayed literally

 

I noticed this before and thought nothing more off it

 

Just curious...how many site are you running to generate what you have on from the screenshot?
