About month ago I decided to promote Click Bank Items. I have been throught all kinds of changes in the time however up until 2 days ago I was getting on average 300 to 500 hops a day and maybe one or two sales. All good right? So two days ago I made some more changes and my hop count went from 300 to 500 to more then 1200 per day. Now I have not made a sale since. It seems logical to me the more hop you get the higher the chance of a sale. oh and another thing today I noticed on the beta report I had 350 hop this morning and now I have 180? WTH Is there anyway for me to figure out if someone has hacked my account or something? It sure seems that way. I have no idea how they would do it but I'm sure it could happen.
I wouldn't worry about it, my account is dropping hops today too. Every time check, i have less than the last time i looked. Clickbank must be screwing with something, or their tracking is messed up.
Clickbank has always been like that, so there is really nothing to be surprised about... That's why you have to promote many products, so if some of your campaigns gets screwed up, others will bring sales. Live with it or leave.
Exactly, those kind of issues are not new, CB has many problems, but it also has a lot of advantages.
Hi Sorry to jump in here as I'm a new member! I found Digital Point today after googling "Clickbank problems" as my hops have been dropping all day! I reached a peak at around 4pm (UK time) and since then it's been dropping back until I'm now at 2 clicks (was at over 200 earlier!). I do have a couple of sales though, but they are not showing on the hop summary so I'm hoping this is an internal problem. However, if I don't get any more sales today I'm guessing there's a real problem. This is a great forum by the way-glad I found it! Carole
If something would be better than clickbank Feds would make it illegal As for the topic - I wouldn't blame ClickBank here - 1-2 sales per day doesn't provide any stable statistics It would also be noted that you've altered your traffic so it's not correct to assume that conversion rate would stay the same.
karabas: okay but there are a couple of guys here (including myself!) who are getting less hops for the day by every hour... it's just funny. i really don't understand why there's no competition to clickbank. I imagine for a big company like ebay or google would be a good opportunity to sweep them out...
a common error, as it really depends on how you suddenly got 700 more hops per day ... if those were 700 hops of the same level of quality (i.e. targeting) then yes, you'd reasonably expect more sales ... but if they're 700 hops of less quality than the first 500 (i.e. less targeted), then no, you wouldn't necessarily expect more sales ... ********************* and yes, tracking is def screwed up today
Yep! The report is now on 0. I know that I can not have had any hops today. the report is beta so ok. But it sure seem that i should be getting sales. 1200 plus hops yesterday and 1 sale. that is bs for all the work it take to get the hops
Been discussed in lots of places already: today CB really screwed big time. From "normal volume" of hops in the morning, lots of users have right now a big fat ZERO.
The biggest problem with all of this is i know I had at least 2000 hops today because I'm tracking them outside of clickbank. With 2000 plus hops today i had one sale. It just can not be. I think i'm getting screwed here
For the first time in months, or maybe years...I saw this message on the clickbank tracking code summary: "Nothing found to display" ????????????
well how about "a couple of guys" and "lots of users" who actually did get their normal sales, actually some got double or triple normal sales. it doesn't seem "funny" to you because they just keep on working rather than being all over the forums with "clickbank is shaving" threads. Check out "clickbank index" graph. It's the sum of gravitites of all current products: What you see here are normal fluctuations of +/- 2%. If clickbank really decided to shave or break down for many affiliates on any given day, you'd see huge drop on this graph like the one that happened more than 1 month back. Also is CB wanted to shave they would do it from high-volume affiliates for about 0.5% a day and nobody would ever notice.
Lets go a little deeper with this. Here is the most current count of products. Active products: 8,656 / Inactive products: 19,485 / All products: 28,141 Why doesn't this make any since? When i down load the xml file i get more them 30K in products... Go figure This also looks like one of those eCONomy things. Seems like the perfect time to cut back on hops to us and click the bank for click bank... And on the other hand the more I look at this i get more pissed off. Lets say the average of hops per day is 40K and I know i'm getting 2K of that. That is a very high precentage for one user. I should be making more then one sale a day.
