Anyone seeing really good payouts today?

I'm seeing a much higher cost per click today than normal, I was wondering if anyone else had seen this.

I am seeing a very high CTR...
Same lame 3 cents per click, but things seem weird. Yesterday mas by best day since I put my adsence code up.

I read somewhere that people at Adwords put up their new ads at the beginning of the month, and start with a high bid per click. Once they see how their campaigns are doing, they start lowering their bids and tweaking their ads, so by the end of the month you end up getting much less per click.

    Sounds logical

People don't necessarily start their campaigns at the beginning of the month. There is really no reason CPC would drop towards the end.

Businesses with advertising budgets will usually start high at the beginning of the month and may dwindle towards the end... ;)

Agree but for me the main money comes 3 days before the end of the month and then a week into the next month

When the customers still have there pay ( UK mostly monthly paid ) so the advs spand the money then , which makes sense as why target people mid month when they are skint

I'm seeing the total oposite of it... It seems that there are less and less advertisers for some of my keywords so I'm getting 3 cent clicks and making 50% less than the last month... And i'm getting more visitors than usual... About 10% more...

Even with the significant drop in traffic because of G's update, my ctr has increased and my revenue won't be too adversely affected, thank goodness, as long as the numbers continue as they are. Now had my traffic numbers not changed, I'd be doing that much better.

I just wonder if the serps are so bad that people are more likely to click on the ads to find what they are looking for?
