google is cracking down on arbitrage sites, I am not sure about MFA sites or if they are in harms way.

I see a lot of folks in here who have their hopes up that today is going to be the day of salvation. I think a lot of you are going to be disappointed...I hope not...but being a realist, I see that coming. I've been bee-bopping around my own site, checking my ads and I see additional MFAs coming online. Some of them are digging deep to get names, a lot of .info ones and ones having to use TWO dashes in the name so that it is unique. best--sites.com or .info I don't think it's over yet folks.

When you have webmasters trying to optimize sites for more clicks and more revenue per click, there will always be webmasters breaking the TOS or atleast a stricter interpretation of the TOS.

And there will always be the threat for a number of webmasters. So we should not get surprised if we get a mail someday !!

Well, June the 1st could well be an important chapter in the life of adsense. Only time will tell whether the decision was a masterstroke or one that google regrets. I suspect it will be the former.

well, we will just have to wait and see. i don't think we will see a sudden and damatic change. It may take week, if not months, for the effects to trickle down.

How is this in any way directly related to Google banning a couple Adwords accounts? Adsense has nothing to do with traffic and your CTR isn't going up or down due to bannings.

It's already been shown on some forums that people did in fact get banned a couple days ago. Everyone was just expecting to much out of this.

From the scuttlebutt I've been hearing, it's accounts. Since nothing has come out officially, though, I'm not sure how much I would hang on that.

I wasnt expecting anything, but today (June 1st for a while now for me) is one of the worst days ever. Might not have anything to do with the recent MFA cleanout, still, its frustrating and i can savely say that this day is the worst since 9 months.

I dont run MFA sites if anyone wonders.

actually, your ctr could be affected, if you were making money off of the accounts that were banned.

that's because there is no guarantee that the new ads being served up as replacements for the banned ads would generate the exact same ctr.

what i've seen today is not mfa ads, but rather ads that were completely off-target for the page content... so both the ctr and the epc were down.

this might be true. I was checking what kind of ads are published on my website with the preview tool and there are a lot of "google adsense" ads on it. So off-target ads. I hope this will change in a bit
