Something went on over at googs today. My site is about 3 months old and I have checked pretty much every day as of late to see what my predicted page rank is. and check back links and whatnot

well today I finally got a predicted page rank of 3. Up until today it would always say that it couldn't predict.

I don't think they are complete crap, they are just very inaccurate. You're better off just waiting until Google releases another update.

I feel they're very unreliable as well. No one knows Google's algorithm for PR, and hence there are no accurate PR prediction tools. Just wait for the next PR update....

yes, I understand that they are totally unpredictable. But they do predict off of something. And up until today it was n/a and today I am getting a prediction.

So I guess something must have changed is all I'm saying.

Doesn't mean something changed at google, yahoo or msn might have updated their backlinks and so the prediction tool had something to work with.

http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction shows pagerank prediction with their accuracy.
I checked one of my site and the result showed :
    predicted PR 1
    accuracy 100%

Does this mean they will be correct in prediction

I find that the PR prediction tools are very unreliable

I've got to agree with the above, and say prediction tools are very unreliable as no one really knows Google's algorithms.

Using the iwebtoll service, the PR seems seems to change 1 whole point almost daily. There is no consistency in these tools.

Accurate or not, just the feeling that a site will get a sound PR makes me feel good! :)

Best of luck to you and keep doing whatever you are doing and google should give you the PR.
    Bye :)
