Today has been a really big let down for adsense

Today, my site started to show ads that were and look relivant to the topic.

However, if you take their address at the bottom, and manually type it into the address bar, it goes to some page about finance.

This is a joke and stuff like this is going to hurt googles reputation.

Since a while back Adsense display all kind of irrelevant information.

From my point of view Google is very pesky with publishers but accepts all kind of questionable content from advertisers, including adult and gambling related websites.

I have the same problem on my website. I'm probably going to use a different advertiser.

Google cant check each and every site that advertises through them every single minute of the day. It happens but from my experience, not too often.

It's an alternative to clicking on the ad to see the landing page.

not only that they are advertising the same company ad twice in the same banner, one with www. and one non www

    ak7.co.uk
    c2-1.com
    d4z.co.uk
    dp-1.com
    g-61.com
    go-22.com
    n9110.com
    ne50.com
    o-sf.com
    u-51.com
    e-v4.com

just an example of ads (i have removed the parsing cause i dont want to link to them). I have wrote to google, this is illegal and its false advertising. Advertising about seo and getting to a page about loans for example.

And yes, i do not expect google to check every ad, but at the same time. But I dont expect google to be an open door way to let people flood the internet with ads that are this gross.

If you email Google and say "hey, my ads aren't matching my site" they will sort it out for you. Simple!

Yeah...it happens sometimes. Had a user contact me angry that they went to my "Sh$#ty website" and clicked a link and it wanted their credit card information. What can you do though? Its Google that's serving the ads.

well i got more than 1 email to their credit, so they are taking it seriously.

But it could happen to anybody. Legitimate finance ads on adwords must be paying a pretty penny at the moment if arbiratage(spelling?!) is profitable.

Its amazing, they have used hundreads of domains, with 3/4 variations of their website.

The domain tld's are .com, .co.uk nothing else so far.

    so a progress report,

adsense passed the ads onto adwords.

I must admit, since I started communication and blocking the ads from the site, the ecpm has gone from 30c, to 50/70c ecpm. That is a massive tripple in earnings (espically when your doing 15k a day).

So definatly, if you notice something like this happen to you, report it.

nOT THE QUESTION OF "IT CANT CHECK EACH AND EVERY MINUTE" BUT IT IS FULLY AUTOMATED, and so this is considered as a flaw in that adsense program algorithm

it's not google's fault.. it's yours. You need to optimize your site so that the proper ads show. as stated above, Google does not check every single site. it's up to the webmaster to do it.

well, how does one optimize a site, against well optimized adwords, targeted specifically towards a topic exactly about my site only to lead to another site about loans (which is false advertising and illegal)?

espically as this user flooded adwords with over 40 different domain names and hundreads of ad variations.

Hes right. You can optimize your content to generate ads that are extremely relevant. You can also use googles content tags to emphasize certain blocks of text. Lastly, you can go into your adsense account and manually filter out these irrelevant websites. You have to work for money in life, this is no different.
