To Widget or Not to Widget

    If I get links with the anchor text "widget resources" will that help my ranking at all for plain "widget" or do I have to get links that only say "widget" to be of any use to me? I want to rank for "widget" but it's hard for sites to link to me with that anchor text. There's no natural way to do it. Any words of wisdom for me?

    You should definately get a wide variety or variation of anchor text.

    It will help, but the longer your anchor text the better. It is a bit easier to rank for 2 words than for a single one.
