I'm looking to host my company's website on a VPS hosting solution, although I'm not sure what to do. Basically we would like the flexibility of having an sql database that isn't shared with a large amount of users, (relatively few is fine), and similarly with hosting power. On the other hand, we don't want to have to deal with installing PHP/mysql and any other software, and all the other maintenance type things that often are set up and ready to use like on shared hosting solutions. Ideally I'd like to be able to use the service right away, with little to no setup. Kind of like I want to go to a an amusement park and pay extra so that I can have it practically all to myself. Any advice would be appreciated
Hello, Go for a Managed VPS. That way, the company takes care of all the technical details (setting it up, getting your sites online, helping you with nameservers, etc.), whilst you can then concentrate on running your sites and using all of the resources, how you want to use them. I hope that helps you, Jay
Agreed with jayshah that what it sounds like you are looking for is a managed VPS solution. The downside is that a managed VPS typically costs about $50 extra a month on top of the VPS hosting fee. If that is in your budget great otherwise you may want to look for a reliable shared or reseller hosting provider so you don't have to mess with the details.
We offer Managed VPSes from $39.99 (or $32 with the dp32 coupon as a special promotion), so they don't have to cost the world
