Hello to all DP member and guests. I am new here and currently doing some kind of research in Internet Marketing sphere. I am quite sure that most of you faced with content purchasing or writing and I need to know your opinion about plagiarism checkers. Copywriters, do you check your work for plagiarism before sending it to the customer? Customer, do you check the content you receive from copywriters? Please comment with your current role (content provider or customer).
Thanks, King-Servers. Anyone else? Don't believe you didn't hear about plagiarized content or checkers to prevent this.
It is good to use a plagiarism checker tool. This helps in understanding the authenticity and originality of the content that you are posting. The most important thing is making sure that you choose a good plagiarism checker online.
Always check your content. I have written for clients in the past and they came back and said that the content was slightly plagiarized simply because there is some much content on the internet that sometimes you will be writing the same thing that has already been written. It doesn't hurt to check.
Plagiarism has become an integral part of our online activity, so I would say it is crucial to use a plagiarism checking software nowadays.
Imperative to verify your content for sure. A friend of mine writes for an Internet Marketing company, and was recently caught in a mess when another company accused them of lifting their ideas . Be honest when you did refer to certain sites for inspiration, crediting them. Better to make friends than enemies.
Haven't heard (at least not recently) about someone buying content and not using a Plagiarism checker. Even newbie entrepreneurs check the content they put on their website (minus the ones that intentionally try to cheat the system and go around the rules).
of course not that we don't trust our seller but we want to see if the content are reliable enough to generate interest and for optimization purpose
Hi, yes I use plagiarism checker, Copyscape Premium to be exact. When it comes to content creation and hiring writers to work for us, it’s important that we have a way to check whether their works are original or just copied from somewhere else. There are free plagiarism software that offers high detection rate but I prefer the premium version of copyscape to make sure that what I’m going to put on my web is not a plagiarized content.
Any free plagiarism checker is probably enough for the purpose of a content writer, but I guess content providers who hire copy/content writers should definitely use paid programs which have more reliable tools. I also used to work with copyscape premium, but recently I switched to copyact and must admit it meets all my expectations, as duplicate content on a website was a nightmare..
I use plagspotter but I think there are other better ones out there. I use it really to check if anyone else is stealing my content. I only do it every 6 months or so but I load about 200 article urls in and let it rip. Sometimes if finds people stealing my work and I DMCA the host.
Our writers currently use Copyscape, but they used other plagiarism checkers in the past. Their only issue with these tools is that these sometimes flag proper names (names of organizations, car models, etc). So while the article itself is not an exact copy, Copyscape will detect duplicate content. However, we still consider it very important to run all content through the checkers before these are submitted to clients.
