To use Adsense or not

Well my new site continues to get some traffic with limited success. While I wait for Google to realize that I'm a legitimate site MSN and Froogle are sending me limited traffic, which leads me to an interesting question. Should I set up an adsense box at the base of my product page which most people exit from?

I guess the question becomes should I put up competitive ads and run the risk of losing a sale while the site sits in the sandbox with Google, or should I at least give myself the chance to get something for the user I was able to grab from SERP or Froogle? It's an interesting question, and I'm wondering what people here think of that idea. Keep in mind my primary purpose is to sell products, not get clicks from advertising.

You can always remove the adsense when you do not want it.

Adsense is a waste of time if you don't get traffic. Get the traffic and then get Adsense

    1. What is your profit on a sale?
    2. What percent of your site visitors make a purchase?
    3. Using those two numbers, determine what your average profit per visitor is.

    Next... try AdSense for awhile...

    1. What is your profit per visitor with AdSense?

    Which number is larger? :)

How many sales would you lose to AdSense?

You could run AdSense and block your competitors ads.
