what advice do you wish you heard when you first started your forum? Also i need ways on how to get users to sign up and start posting. I created a forum a while back and while i got members, they were all spammers who kept spamming, how do i prevent this problem this time around? link is in the sig, check it out and let me know how i can improve the forum. also i've linked the forum to sites bringing a total of around 400visits per day if that helps. Also i would appreciate any volunteers who would like to moderate and/or post tips and reviews and get the forum started, PM me if so.
Were the members spamming bots or actual people that just posted a lot of rubbish? If they were bots, get vBulletin. I've found that there rarely are issues with spammers on forums using it.
i think they were ppl posting rubbish.. what kind of incentive would you recommend? would giving mod ship or giving ad space on the blog of the site with alexa 290k and pr3 help?
