Do you think that one should have to state their budget when WTB domain names in threads?

I personaly think it should be a forum rule, like it is on other domaining forums. My reason being that one can spend time going through a list of domains only to get a reply back from the potential buyer saying that they are only looking to spend $20, as has happened to me on a number of occasions.

I would love to hear what others think about this, buyers and sellers.

Yes and know. If you state enough parameters in your requirements for domains you are looking for (e.g. looking for laptop domains with minimum xxxx/month searches), than stating the budget (i.e. your maximum price) is no necessary as the price will be always negotiable depending on the quality of the domain name.

But if you just post "I buy .com developed sites", than it is probably worth to mention the budget if it would be the only criteria

I voted for yes. There would be less spam on your side and you'll save more time in the long run...

actually, if you WTB certian domain name via brokerage service, you would generally be asked to fill in the max budge, but if it is the case between direct buyer and direct seller as atxsurf mentioned, it's not too bad not to state the budge, and sure it's the right point that final price always comes out after some rounds of negotiation. - Helen :)
