English is not my native language, I found it's more easier to sell products online than adsense, amazon ... I have lots of websites, one site selling laser pointers , it gets about 30 visitors every day, and gets orders of thousands of dollars, the profit is not bad, but another website get much more clicks and sells nothing, it makes less money . How about you ?
For me its more easy to blogging and then earn from the adsense click. I have no luck in selling item at ebay
I would say it depends. I do both, and the results can vary. At one point an ebook site I ran with ~300 U/Vs a month was going on par with a proxy site with 50,000 U/Vs p/m. Each style can be very successful, however I find that selling a product is easier due to requiring lower amounts of traffic. The exception to this is if a site you have goes viral, then the adsense option can bring some nice money As for affiliate marketing, I have never really tried. I would prefer to sell digital products and keep 100% of the profits
I find making smaller sites that tend to rank well in google for long tail keywords which have high ctr positioned adsense blocks on them, the most easiest and quickest way of making profit.
I happen to agree that selling a tangible product is better than just selling ads, but there is no reason not to do both.
