Seems like a nice site, mate. I know you're not asking about adsense placement, Maybe an adlink unit (or ad unit) between XBox Live and Miscellaneous would fit well. Some pages gave PSA, such as: http://www.rare-extreme.com/?section=previews&page=index.html So you might want to ad some more (relevant) text, although it could be a geo-targeting issue (I'm in the UK). Also one page with plenty of text did not show ads for me: http://www.rare-extreme.com/?section=pdarkzerowalk&page=DatacoreDemolition.html Suggestion: try an alternative ad url with some kind of affiliate link in, perhaps amazon (for games). Amazon's singel product links can be made to blend in quite well. Good luck!
I like the overall site design. 1 suggestion for your adsense ad on the left: It would be more blended in + effective if you removed the blue border around your ad
