    Hi,
I am not sure if this is the best category for my thread, so I am sorry if I am posting in a wrong category,

I bought an expired domain with about 160000 backlinks in yahoo altavista inkomi etc, but I am not recieving any traffic to the site why is that? and what will be a good solution?

    Thanks

By the little information you have posted, it looks like you bought the domain exclusively due to the number of backlinks. There are a ton of questions that would need to be dealt with prior to giving you an informed response.

1- Do the backlinks even point to pages that exist now?
2- Is the content of the site (and the backlink text?) of interest to people or just another domain name?
3- Does the site rank well on the major search engines? (e.g. Google, Yahoo, AOL and MSN?)
4- Did the site have significant traffic prior to the domain's expiration?

There are multiple things to consider beyond just the number of backlinks...

Hope this helps you some! :)

Change of servers has defenitely taken place. Which means the domain has a different IP address. Implies that you'll have to wait for some months for search engines like Google to re-accept you. No, you are not banned but just wait and see.

Well, there does not seem to be a lot of content on your site, and that's how people get to your site, by doing a search that will match the keywords they input with whatever you have on your site...

    Try to add more content.

Your need to see what keywords the links to your site used.

If your site not target this keywords or if you don't have this keyword in you title tag & in the body html code, no traffic will come!.

    Is your domain's PR high?

160000 backlinks are way high, so whats your PR.

Are you able to post the url so that we can give you a more informative opinion. There are a few things, but a key is google will sandbox a domain when it changes ownership.
