Okay here is my situation . .. I had a .blogspot.com blog and then moved it to a domain. I now am trying to make it look proffessional. Some of the people I linked with want to exchange again. While I do want to exchange links, I DON'T want 100 links in the blogroll section. What should I do. Should I stipulate that they be above PR4 for e.g.? Skinny
make a seperate link page and put only the best links on the home page. Maybe ones that are willing tto trade home page links
this is a good idea. Also try and rotate 10 links at a time on the main pages. this keeps them all happy. Kevin
I agree with both Blonde Jon and TheNetCode. Using both of these suggestions should keep everyone happy including yourself (since you'll have many back links to your site).
Exactly, that seems to be what everybody is doing nowadays. However, if you don't want to manage your links and check if they are linking back, I really do suggest using linkmachine, found at: http://linkmachine.net Believe me, it does wonders for your website and it is extremely simple and easy to run. Check out the script on my website: http://www.cphosts.com/partners/partners.html It even matches the layout of your website (I am fixing up the flash header, that's why it isn't showing right now.) To recruit links, just use free services like: LinkMetro LinkExchanged LinkMarket Note that LinkMarket is a .net Domain. Also, don't pay for any services because LinkMarket is full of viagra and other useless medical websites, and LinkMetro only offers the same service that you get with LinkMachine. And for LinkExchanged, let people contact you instead of you contacting them. Don't worry, you will get a LOT of requests.
Well I use Internet Business Promoter to search for Link Submission forms to submit to (manually) and almost half of the sites I submitted to were using linkmachine. I've been using Arelis, Internet Business Promoter and Php Link Directory to manage my link exchange campaigns and It's becoming an awful lot of work with a decent conversion rates but I'm pooped out. I think the main problem is that my site is a new site (Created Nov.29 2005) with a PR of Zero so most people don't have a reason to link back to me. I'm thinking about using linkexchanged but I don't know whether or not I will get a lot of link requests because I am a PR Zero Site. I'm also thinking about just buying a few High PR links and trying again when my pagerank is a little higher but, I don't want to wait four months to get a high PageRank. I also noticed brad callen's (the author of SEO Elite) weight loss site on linkexchanged. I guess he doesn't use his own product.
It's that catch 22. You can't have PR without backlinks and now wants to exchange because you no PR. Skinny
I see some sites getting lots link exchanges with no PR but they don't care whether or not the links are related and they are obviously sending out thousands of link exchange requests per day. I shouldn't really complain because the return will get me where I want to be in 4-6 months of consistency but It's boring. I want it to be over with quickly and that's probably my problem. lol Is Linkexchanged any easier?
Question still remains, at least for me, how do you gain relative back links with a PR0? A slow process for sure and it obviously does happen with time but what are some reasonanble steps to take?
Hi , SKinny , Are you a webmaster ? Resting on your post,I think it is easy for you to link exchange with other sites,do you ?Is there anywonderful methods in your heart ?
For I don't know any smart methods to recommend my sites about weding.so I come here to know how. That's a disturbance to all of you . Waiting for your reply .
Well, if you are interested in linking a site with someone and you own the site, I usually just contact them, and say. You can usually get replies pretty quickly (1-2 days). And yes I am a webmaster.
I would have a seperate links page, but even then I would not have more than ten or so links on it. You don't want to look like a link farm. Google is cracking down on link exchanges anyway, from what I've read. Nick from performancing has had some good writings on this issue. Read this: http://performancing.com/node/421
bschneider - sorry if this is a stupid question, but by link exchanges, are you talking about the use of sites like linkmetro, etc., or simple webmaster-to-webmaster or recip links? If the latter - blueecchh. Based on the other thread on paid links...I'm screwed. 5 or 6 paid links, including bCentral, and a recip campaign with related sites. Any place you could point for some data this way?
I'm not certain I unerstand your question. Naturally, high ranking inbound links are good for your site, but when you have a ton of outgoing links from your site, especially if they are unrelatd to your site, it can't be good.
bSchneider - and your link to the post beginning with "link exchanges are stupid" prompted me to want to clarify - are you talking about using link exchange sites, like linkmetro, linkpartners, etc., or are you talking about reciprocal links per se? If the latter, where related websites can no longer legitimately link to each other, (1) I'm bummed, since this is what I just spent the last few days doing; and (2) with the apparent dive that paid links (in directories) may be taking, (2a) I'm bummed , since I did just that with bCentral, etc. Finally, (3), if it is the case where gg is devaluing recip links between related sites, I was hoping for some data you might be able to point me to. Hope that clarifies what I was asking. Thanks.
