It doesn't matter at all. Google will rank one page ahead of the other.

If it makes sense to your readers then do it, if it doesn't then don't.

What Google does today can easily change tomorrow. It's ridiculous that people worry about Google this or that. Write for real people and create your sites to steer real people to your desired objective.

Pick a percentage and test it. It will still make no difference.

Duplicate content is all over the web and ranks just fine. Look at Associate Press or Reuters new releases. They get published thousands of time over and over.

Google states that any text that is found to be %20 or more duplicate will be marked as duplicate content.

the problem is we do not know the algorithm that they use to calculate duplicate content so you can be sure.

yes, I agree, I write for my readers only. But still the factor I have to consider is my readers arrive from SERPs. If google penalizes me for something, my readers are also gone !! thats why I am worried.

I'm not buying that there is a set percentage. If its different then its not duplicate. What kind of sites you plan on making anyways?

I don't think there is a set percentage they probs just look for a key words that are the same, if there is more then expected they probs have a look at it. I don't think you will be abel to copy any content

There isn't a percentage. Google will just take one page. It's best not to have duplicate content but having dynamic pages and many url's on your site, I can see how many sites have duplicate content issue's.

There isn't actually a percentage. If they see an article with rewrote content, it'll also be sandboxed.
Always use original and unique content.

Google does not explain in detail about duplicate content. As long as most of the content are original, it's ok to have some duplicates. That is why Helium, Associated Content, and Hubpages do not mind duplicate content too.
