I did directory submission, social bookmarking, blog posting these all, but I didn't get PR for my website, I want to know what are the remaining works I have to do, give me your advice.
Does PR really matter??? Have you ever thought about it. Will it have an impact, if any, on the website or more on your business??? I think not. But if you are still hell bent on trying to achieve a higher PR you could follow the advises that would follow shortly
You need backlinks from quality sites.Submitting to social bookmarking sites is of no use when it comes to pr as they are no follow. So you need do follow links.Try link sales link exchange section here
Try commenting on related blogs.. forums.. etc.. increasing your PR is quite easy if you spend some time doing it. Give this a read.. will help you out quite a bit. http://www.domainstructure.com/2008/09/are-you-building-enough-back-links/
Need to increase dofollow links. no matter from where it comes. still relevant websites links makes more difference. It must not coming from bad neighbourhood.
Get backlinks from the websites or blog having good page rank. Also search quality web directories for link exchange.
Getting back links that display PR 0 are not back links. Those pages may increase to PR 1 or 2 so dont skip them.
Link building helps in gaining PR and frequent cache for a site. Do link building (2 way/3way/4way), and gain PR. All the best.
PR is still important but the most important thing is driving traffic to your site. So get good quality links from on topic sites. Getting links from 1000 random directories which NOBODY uses is not going to bring you 1 visitor so why waste time doing it. Research the good directories, research your related sites. Make sure your site has excellent content and is clear and easy to use so that another webmaster would want to link to you. Nobody is doing to link to a crap site with bad design and rubbish content. Think about this
Your goal should not be PR but traffic. To get traffic you need good SERP. For this you need quality content. Content is king. When you will have quality content, people will link to your site, search engine will find it and you will get traffic. When you will have traffic you will also have high PR. Simple as that.
You won't get pretty pr if all of the backlinks are from pr0 site. It's better if you can get backlinks from high pr sites.
I have 2 PR5 sites after 1 month uploading. I don't build so many links, I get about 30 back links for each, but they are good back links, some of them are PR6.
So many people think about ways they can find new back links for their sites when you should be thinking of ways you can get others to link to you naturally! If you create GREAT content, people will naturally link to your site. I've built hundreds of links in the past few weeks by doing nothing more than creating content that is viral. I then take a look at my analytics stats daily and checkout all the cool sites that are linking to me. I scored a couple PR 6's today even.
