    Blend.

I tried a lot to make my ads stand out. I even tried colours like FF0000 (one of the most eye catching - similar to the one they use in traffic signs). Still blending worked best for me. I get 3 times more clicks by blending.

Overall, I think blending, when done well, is better because it reduces the "ad blindness".

I blend my ads on all my sites - I have been able to get around 10% ctr for all my sites through blending and testing.

yes, I used blending some months ago, I put 50-50% for blending ads and not blending. CTR of blending was about 3%, while for "stand out" was 5-6%

thanks again, i thought the post would definetly favour blending, so its good to hear from someone who doesnt blend. ill try one of my new sites using %50 blend and %50 not, and see how it works out.
