Yahoo! is very liberal with their ad service including adding multiple units to one page. In many ways they are easier to use than AdSense, perhaps that is the reason why so many webmasters want to receive an invite.

Yeah but since there's a smaller set of advertisers multiple ad units have a reduced effect since you'll start repeating ads (at least in my niches). Three is all I ever use, and I probably could do with two.

Yahoo definately needs a bigger advertiser pool.

Have you ever done any advertising with YPN? Their portal is a PITA! (Not to speak ill of those paying the bills). But as having spent a bit of money with yahoo advertising, it is very lacking. Not many "small budget" (-$1,000) advertisers will find much success with yahoo. Their "budget" system is basically a hoax for small amounts.

However, with the new "upgrades" they are tying to roll out - I think you will see an increase of advertisers. *Atleast I hope!*

BTW: I hope Microsoft releases a program for publishers - I think they have the BEST portal yet! Their budget system rocks and if it does go over, it automatically puts the money back into your account. WTG Microsoft!

I think it depends on your venue as to whether YPN is good or not. It does stink when ads are repeated even when there are only two banners on a page, but I have also seen YPN serve up some decent stuff and give good $$$ on clicks.

Certainly, there is room for improvement.

Yes, that's correct, but make sure that you always review the TOS first yourself.
