The guy is fed up of dealing with NUMPTIES who will not read the guidelines before submitting. If these NUMPTIES happen to come from one area, and it is affecting his ability to do his job then of course there is reason there. Isn't there?

<ADDED> I have banned any registrations at some of my sites from email addresses that end in .ru the reason being that most of the crap was from there. Now I know there are some nice romanians, but as most of them were causing me probs, I banned them.

It was a joke based on your non commital answer with a bit of 80's nostalgia thrown in. Sometimes I post just to make myself laugh realizing no one else will. :D

I think it is only Pedro that implied that. I didn't think you had any racist undertone in your first message. Anyway, if a WASP guy living in India tried to visit your site after the ban he would be banned too so there is no race even involved.

I made mine paid because poor people are free loading spammers

So when you said "This is distasteful", were you actually eating a Chalupa and the computer read your mind and posted it?

I still think it's distasteful. Any sort of generalization always leaves a bad taste in the mouth. But I must admit, it is sometimes necessary. gladly I have never had to do this in my own business.

Keep the friggin politics out of the forum!!!!!!!!!!

The question is whether or not to ban people who cannot read or wish not to abide the rules. Nothing else...

I think banning a particular IP is probably the best option. That way the legitimate sites can still get through. Also: it's probably a good idea to unblock them in a year to see whether something has changed. It's very likely that as the economy of India gets better, there will be less spammer-type submissions from there.

    I have a spine.

I wouldn't ban an entire country. It's stupid. He can, because he runs a competing directory. LOL

Better late than never, I always say ;)

There's more and more SEO companies in India that have money. The more clients they get, the more they'll buy links.

No need to ban an ENTIRE nation of people based on the actions of a few bad apples.
