Hi, This is my first post here, I guess its about time I start posting instead of just reading. Anyways I would like to tell you guys something that happen to me recently. You see, I have a blog in the health niche and all this while (almost 1 year) I have been earning $400/mth per month from adsense. recently I tested something and instantly I made $1000 from that blog in 1 day. What I did was remove all my adsense ads out of the blog. From my initial testing affliate links do much better then adsense. it begs me to ask why are we wasting our time with adsense? I know, I know sometime some niches are better off with adsense rather then using aff links. However after what just happen to me I would recommend that you test out adding affiliate links on your blog to see if it out performs your adsense. Test it out yourself if you dont believe me. any views on this?
Some sites (such as those with a fairly broad scope) have difficulty converting products/leads so AdSense is ideal for this. Additionally, you should compare your affiliate EPC with your Adsense EPC and basically run whichever is higher. Adsense is also ideal for broad topic forums and communities, whilst if you were to say, have a car club, you may wish to run car related programs instead. It depends on the site.
yea I used clickbank. I got a 50% commision on a $99 product. Its not bad really Its been 5 days since I made the changes and I get about 17 - 23 sales per day on the aff product. I guess its true adsense is better for more broader niches and communities.
