does google care if your domain is a cheap domain like .info or a .com or .org?

No, .info has the same chance to rank as a .com or .org.

also..usually .com .nets' etc get more type in traffic for the same domain as they come first to the mind...for layment especially..,info are quite recent...even though almost same like .com's

Traffic and search engine indexing are two completely different things. As rjpzf told you, the TLD of the domain name (and this DOES include .edu and .gov TLDs) has no bearing on the domain's placement or success (or even the lack thereof) in the search engine listings.

I always try and get a .com name because it looks more professional......but like everyone else stated...has no impact on rankings

Don't you just love social engineering? The .com TLD is more "popular" because the average person associates the .com with a Web site before any other TLD. For example, take a look at rent.com and rent.net - which site is still in business? Rent.net may have had a much better site, but everyone remembered the .com (and thus the .com got all the money - and yes, this is an old-school example).

I agree 100%, and the rent.com example is the one I always use.

rent.net had a better site and better financial backing but rent.com is the one that survived
